OMG, I've finished the game. Love the idea, gameplay, RNG and the art.
I got really lucky. Got 1s lantern without cons. Then got fast greedy repair timer (+3 hull, -1 money every 1s). Unfortunately, it was so greedy I could never buy anything after that. Even the same time that was twice as fast, lol (0.5s).
I wish the timer stopped ticking when the hull is full =)
Wow, really love the art! How did you animate the sprites? It looks like 3D, and warping? Is t simply rotating the tail sprite towards z-depth + perspective camera?
also omg. The progression design is beautiful, together with the music.

Rotating + scale (or just rotating, don't really remember). The camera is orthographic.
